Remembering John Updike

You may not be too familiar with writer John Updike but he was a master observer of the American spirit. If you have 12 minutes, watch these interviews with him and about him.

As Ms. H. notes, Updike "was a master observer." Two short stories that come to mind are "Wife-Wooing" and "Pigeon Feathers." Both appeared in the New Yorker and later in a short story collection entitled Pigeon Feathers.
